The Nursing profession is changing rapidly. It owes
much to the influence of Florence Nightingale (1820-1910),
a woman with a vision. The word nursing comes from the same
root word 'Nutricus'
means to nourish, to cherish, to protect, to support, to sustain
etc.
Nursing is a multidimensional profession.
It reflects the needs and values of society implements the
standards of professional performances and the standards of
care, meet the needs of each client and integrates current
research and evidence-based findings to provide the highest
level of care.
